A new trailer of Chinese director Feng Xiaogang's famine-themed drama "Back to 1942" has been released at the 37th Toronto International Film Festival.

The 90-second video emphasizes two foreign actors, Adrien Brody and Tim Robbins. Brody said in an earlier interview that "Back to 1942" reminded him of his role in "The Pianist".

The movie was adapted from Liu Zhenyun's best-selling novel "Remembering 1942". It revolves around a serious 1942 famine in central China's Henan Province in which 3 million people died. The disaster is said to be one of the darkest times in China's history.

"Back to 1942" is rumored to have a domestic release date at the end of November.
