Ocean-themed Yeosu Expo Kicks off in S. Korea

A lavish laser show has now opened an ocean-themed Expo in South Korea's southern coastal city of Yeosu.

Over 100 countries and 10 international organizations are staging exhibitions throughout the 93 days event, themed "The Living Ocean and Coast."

South Korean government has spent 1.8 billion US dollars on the Expo's venue over the last four years.

The Expo opens to the public this Saturday.
