South Korea Arrests Nine Chinese Fighermen

The South Korean coastguard has arrested 9 Chinese fishermen, accusing them illegal fishing in the Yellow Sea.

South Korean maritime police say four officers were injured in the incident.

The Chinese fishermen are now being held in the port city of Mokpo.

This comes just two weeks after a South Korean court sentenced a Chinese fishing boat captain to 30 years in prison for killing a South Korean coast guard officer who was trying to apprehend him for illegal fishing.
