UN Chief Calls for Lifting Sanctions on Myanmar

UN chief Ban Ki-moon is now urging the international community to lift its sanctions on Myanmar.

Ban's comments have been made in front of the country's parliament, where he has met with President Thein Sein in Yangon.

Ban Ki-moon is also scheduled to meet with National League for Democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi.

The meetings come ahead of the opening of Myanmar's parliament this week.
