42 Websites Closed over Blackmailing

Chinese authorities have closed 42 websites involved in instances of blackmail.

The websites had posed as accredited media entities and threatened to disclose "negative information" about their victims.

The perpetrators forced several organizations and individuals to pay them "hush money."

Officials say all perpetrators involved in the blackmail cases will be punished.
