'Avatar' Director James Cameron is describing China's 3D-film and television market as "an endless prospect."

The director has been giving a talk on 3D technology at the Beijing International Film Festival.

Cameron reckons 3D films are now being more favoured by Chinese audiences in a market that has seen the number of cinema screens in China grow from 600 to 2-thousand-800, in just two years.

The visual effects pioneer also called for more high-quality TV content in 3D versions - citing acrobatics, ballet and even Beijing opera as art forms the technology can be applied to.
