Prospects on the Rio+20 Summit

 Our world today is facing a series of challenges that endanger people's life and even threaten human existence. A number of issues, such as shortage of resources, energy crisis, food crisis and above all, global worldwide environmental problems are emerging with the deepening of globalization. All these have added greater urgency to the need for coordinated global efforts to find a viable path for sustainable development.

The Conference on Green Development and Governance Innovation: Prospects on the Rio+20 Summit is such a platform for governments, businesses and companies to find a workable solution to some of the most pressing issues facing sustainable development today. The event is being staged in Shanghai and is organized by the Shanghai Institute for International Studies.
